Cameras with only single frame are not well suited for time lapse, (animation yes-time lapse no). This is because, when doing time lapse, you would have to manually take an exposure every time you wanted to expose a frame of film...so to obtain about 4 seconds of finished screen time, you would have to sit by the camera and take an exposure once every minute for an hour. Boring! This Minolta allows you to set it up (on a tripod or wherever) set the frequency of your exposures and walk away.
